Here is Rick with his Michelin guide in front of this most beautiful church. So sad that the fire three years ago destroyed so much of the original structure. Restoration began two years ago. Hopefully, Notre Dame de Paris will be completely restored in 2024. Almost a billion dollars has been raised for the restoration! The original structure took 100 years to complete.

Much of the decoration of the inside of Notre Dame de Paris was damaged during the revolution and was never restored to its former glory. I couldn't resist this shot of my family like the three monkeys praying "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil."
This is the upper chapel of Sainte-Chapelle, the tiny church which is the Gothic gem of Paris. The stained-glass windows have deep gem tones and the tiny figures are full of expression. These two figures are my daughters. They liked Sainte-Chapelle more than Notre Dame with its dark interior. The light in this picture is from the very high windows above.
