Genevieve and Josephine are my daughters. Here they are on the top level of the Eiffel Tower. In the right upper corner you can see the Arc de Tripomphe. This was our family trip to Paris. Genevieve had just graduated from college, and Josephine had just graduated from high school.
While we were in Paris we took a ride down the Seine on a bateau mouche boat. When we passed a statue, the guide told us that it was Ste Genevieve, patron saint of Paris, who brought provisions to the French troops when they were fighting off invaders. I had no idea about this.
Genevieve is named for her great grandmother from New Orleans, who passed away just before she was born.
Josephine is named for her grandfather Joseph on my side, who had German and Irish roots.
They were both much loved by all their grandparents and great grandparents.
